Who: Linda Park & Superman
Where: TV - Downtown Metropolis
When: September 30th
What: WGBS-TV News Spot.
"We interrupt this program for some breaking news. We take you live downtown where our on site correspondence reporter, Linda Park, is witnessing a sighting of Superman." The camera pans in on an professionally dressed Asian woman standing outside of a store. "Are you getting this?" She moves out of the way, and there are streaks of blue and red flying around the inside of the store. "Apparently, no one told these guys that Superman is back." The camera zooms into the window of the store. On the inside, Superman is seen catching bullets so they don't ricochet and hit an innocent. He then crushes the guns with his hand and proceeds to tie the men up. People slowly start to get up just as the police finally arrive. They pull up just as Superman takes a few steps out of the door. "It's been a few weeks since the return of the Superman. Crime had slowly been picking up in his absence, and doesn't appear to be slowing down. Many other heroes stepped up while he was gone, but I’m sure this store owner and the patrons within are happy that he’s here." She waved to the camera man to follow her as she went over to where the man was exiting. "Superman! Would you like to say anything to the public?" The man himself turned as she approached, blinking with some surprise. "I …." He honestly looked a bit caught off guard, but he took a moment to gather his thoughts. “We’ve all had moments of regret. Moments in time where we wish we could go back and change something we’ve done." His gaze dropped a bit. "I’m aware of the evidence against me. And I hold myself accountable for my actions, always. But I can’t go and change the past or what I’ve done." His eyes lifted slowly back to the camera. "I can only try to make up for lost time, and continue to do a bit of good here. … That is, if you’ll still have me." And then in a blur of red and blue, the Man of Steel was gone, followed by a rush of air. "There you have it," she said as her hair flew up after him. "Words from the Man of Steel himself." The screen splits. "It’s good to see him back in full force," the noon anchorman said from behind his desk. "I agree," Linda responded. "Thank you, Linda," the man says again before the screen switches over to him completely. |
