She surfaced and swam to the side a bit so that he wouldn't land on her, and then pulled the rubber bands from her hair, placing them on the slab of rock beside her, combing the braid from her hair. When he joined her, touching her face, for once she didn't hide her reaction, letting her eyes close briefly.
"This has nothing to do with my job," she said, frowning a little. "I'm not bucking for Stark Industries Employee of the Year," here. Opening her eyes, she looked up at him. "When was the last time you had sex, Tony? We both know why." Her eyes flicked down to his chest, then up again. "I can count on one hand the number of times in three years that I've had to pick your drunken ass off the floor, you're that under control, and yeah - you still do stupid reckless things sometimes, but the majority of them are in the suit."
She touched him this time, her hand cupping his cheek. "That suit saved your life, and I don't mean in Afghanistan. In more ways than one. I'm not going to watch you undo all of that. You're an... intense man; it takes extreme things to affect real change in you. She laughed, a little nervously, bordering on hysterical. This is pretty extreme for us."
