Selina could claim that she was so completely hypnotised by the statue and the memories that swam around with it, but the truth was that whoever had managed to sneak up on her was good. Better than good, they were excellent. It took a lot to get the best of her, and the only person that ever managed to get the drop on her on a regular basis was Bruce. Something that still pissed her off even after all of the years he'd been doing it. Looking up, Selina remained still and calm on the outside, even if her heart was beating one hundred miles an hour inside of her chest. Looking through her goggles she couldn't see much, the glass distorting any real chance she might have of clocking the guy. And it was a guy – his voice was low and silky, strangely familiar too. Taking a step back from the case, Selina pressed a button on the side of her goggles, the lenses switching back to night vision again.
He'd even navigated the lasers. God dammit...
His suit was what made her face crack into a smile. Just a slight one, curling at the sides of her red painted lips as she looked at the green and black silhouette. He was all in black, but he was a cat, not a bat. A cat just like her, all be it a more mysterious one. His face was completely masked, his suit like her was form fitting. Tipping her head, Selina tried to remember his shape. It would probably come in useful later.
“She's been waiting for me all my life. Trust me on that one.” Selina finally replied, pressing her goggles again as she moved forward into the light that was cast from above.
