She had a few hours before she had to go to work. She'd been cleaning all day, because the last week had been kind of crazy. She kept the extra clothes she'd bought in a bin in the back of the closet. It felt nice to be in her old clothes. More importantly, it was nice to be in her old body. Well, young body, she guessed would be more apt. Shep had been more than happy to see her, despite the fact that her scent hadn't changed between the two ages. He'd gone crazy and ran in circles and hadn't left her side since she'd gotten home.
The things she planned to wear were laying over the back of the chair in the middle of the open area. It was a studio apartment. The girl really didn't need a room. The bathroom had a window big enough to squeeze out of, if she needed to get out in a bind. The door was sturdy enough to slow down most people, which was good enough for her. She didn't make a habit of running, but after all she'd been through, she had made a habit of making sure there was always a way out. She wanted a way out that didn't involve going through people.
Shep was currently curled up next to her on the couch. She had a book open in her lap, one she'd bought on a whim at the local corner store. He kept trying to nudge his nose under her hand and gently bit into her hand to remind her that she wasn't paying him enough attention. She didn't have a problem with his actions, but she could see how others might be unwelcoming to his behavior. "I might have to take you to obedience school," she warned him.
