It had freaked Zatanna out, too. She couldn't really imagine someone not being disturbed by it.
She leaned back in her chair, sipping her tea and pausing at Jennifer's strained laughter. Obviously she'd called up something that had been frightening and not good. Zatanna knew a lot of people who'd done that--and some of them had been intentional. She could tell from the other woman's tone that it wasn't true in her case.
"It can," she agreed softly. "God knows I've made my fair share of mistakes with magic. But it can also be really incredible and amazing, and you can do a lot of good with it."
