Laura was always quite aware of her surroundings, even during the day. Gotham had been one of the more dangerous places she'd ever decided to live. That spoke volumes considering she'd come up from the underbelly of New York.
Despite all that, she hadn't expected to run into Damian again during this time. It didn't take her long to catch his scent. She paused in mid step and turn to look in his direction directly. That's when he saw her looking at him. That was enough confirmation for her to cross over to where he stood. The scent grew stronger as she approached him. "Damian," she said, never questioned. It was the first time she said his name since she learned of it.
She still looked up to him, much more than she had before. He was very tall, but it was to be expected when she took the height of his youth into consideration. She took in the growth of his features, his new build. Then she looked down at her dog. "This is Shep. Shep, this is Damian."
The dog sniffed around at his pant leg, smelling the cat. He became super interested in it, to the point where his nose was pressed against Damian's leg. "Don't do that," she chided tugging back on the leash a little. The dog acquiesced for a moment, before getting distracted by the smell again.
