Usually Johnny loved being on TV. Smile for the camera, wave to the fans, drop a soundbite or two. It was awesome. Not so much when the entire line up had been hijacked by ugly dudes with a penchant for twisted reality television.
Johnny exchanged looks with Bobby, then Jennie. At least this set up didn't look too crazy or too dangerous. Which was good because trying to fend off sharks without his powers sounded the exact opposite of cool.
He looked around the room. Wow, that was a lot of cat pictures. He commented, "I don't think she ever got married," even as the narration continued on, confirming his guess. Whoever this lady was, she sure put the Crazy in Crazy Cat Lady.
Johnny nodded at Bobby's statement. One thing he did do (even as an adult) was watch a lot of TV. He'd seen enough sitcoms to know how this was supposed to work. "Oh, wow. Okay. We've got a few hours to replace the cat. We can try to find a duplicate cat but that probably won't work." He started ticking out the options on his hands. "We can get a black cat and try to paint it. We can find a skunk, but let's not. And I guess, we can always try to pretend Snookums is alive and hope she doesn't notice. Or we can hope she's senile, get a different cat and replace all the photographs. Then, just, hope for the best, I guess?"
