"That's not Speedy," was the first thing that came out of Kate's mouth. She knew Speedy. Speedy was awesome. Speedy was also unmistakeably female. It wasn't even even malevolent. The tone in her voice had marked the words as a mere correction. Apparently, she was just really defensive about her best gal pal, okay? It took her a moment to register that there had been one before her, although possibly slightly less cool, because Mia is awesome, and a boy. Was she running around as Red Arrow now? There was a Rainbow Clan thought swimming around in there somewhere for a split second.
That meant that the blonde kid was Green Arrow, but who was the other one? "What we're going to do," she started, "is take into account how straight forward all the other challenges were, and how fast they went. They don't have all that much time to be expository at the beginning. They just give you a task and then throw stuff at you. If we have time to get good positions, I say we go for them." If she'd known it was the other Hawkeye she was standing next to, her tone would've been much edgier. Instead it was calm and informative. It was even and sincere with the sarcastic tone that usually laced it, mostly because she didn't feel very sarcastic. She wanted to get in, get the job done, and get out.
The Arrows made her a little nervous, but if Mia ran with them, they were good people...even if they were seriously buying into this a little too much. She was just happy the skins she was wearing were softened. All these costume changes were weird, not that they changed her actual ability to shoot. She'd only seen a few Westerns and there was just one thing that bothered her about this entire scenario. "Are we going to have to kill them?" There was a brief pause before she continued. "Kill them all?"
The Sheriff was dead and the deputy had run off. Didn't that mean they'd be dispensing justice themselves? Kate wasn't into kill shots, especially not for sport or entertainment.
