In the meantime, Clint gave the steaks a flip before meeting Bobbi half way. He took a sip of beer and and reached out to take her bottle. From his belt he unclipped his keys to retrieve a bottle opener that was there and popped the top on Bobbi's bottle of beer before handing it back over to his wife, and returning the keys to his beltloop once he was done.
"I'm making steaks," he said eventually and then shrugged. "There's nothing going on here, birdie. Can't a man invite his wife over for dinner?" He grinned at her because it sounded strange. Typically married men and women lived together It'd be funny if it weren't so sad, but Clint didn't dwell on it for right now. He was trying to keep the mood light, after all. "Cheers," he said, taking up his bottle again and clinking it with hers.
