With only a month left until opening night and most of the equipment just now being taken out of storage and set up around the theater, Ted Brown was one stressed out manager. He and Oberon had been back and forth all morning between being the best of friends and agreeing on everything to shouting, pointing and generally freaking out at each other. Luckily, the two had known each other long enough that no argument persisted for very long. Oberon had been Thaddeus Brown's assistant when he had been the first Mister Miracle-- and Ted was Thaddeus' son who had been away at war when his father was murdered. After returning home for his father's funeral, Oberon had introduced Ted to Thaddeus' newest surrogate son- Scott Free- and asked for his help managing a new show, just until they got on their feet. Ted had agreed and some how never ended up walking away from show business; despite the thriving military career that he'd had.
Scott weighed in when he thought it necessary and sent the two back on their respective paths until they could cool down enough to work together again. He didn't want their arguing to be the first thing that the new people saw when they came to their first rehearsal.
There was no time to stand around idle while he waited for them to show up though. Scott was already removing chains, ropes and various restraints (that had been thoroughly checked some time ago) from their respective crates and was beginning to attach them to the traps which would make up the main event of the show. At the moment, he stood on the step ladder above the water torture cell, stringing a large, heavy chain through several sinister looking hooks across the top of the tank.
