Who: Peter Parker & Gwen Stacey Where: Stacey Residence, After School When: March 23rd, 2012 What: Peter and Gwen hang out together after school to do homework and chat. Rating: PG, at worst.
Peter had hardly believed Gwen moving to Gotham around the same time he did would happen. He knew her, of course, from Midtown. Often in her presence he said stupid things, which was weird because he wasn't stupid. But she was beautiful and intelligent and maybe he was a little intimidated by her. He'd harbored something of a crush on her for a year now and had nearly given up hope. Even now he felt it was, perhaps, a little too optimistic to think that maybe she liked him. However, since coming there, and having known each other from Queens before, Peter felt they'd gotten closer. He knew that Gwen was more than just a pretty face and Straight A's. She was kind and wonderful, and it made his crush go to a whole new level. He genuinely admired her.
"Your dad is really nice to let us come here to study," Peter commented, looking up from his homework, "How is he liking Gotham? Is it really different from Queens for him?" He smiled at her, because it was just really easy to. There was a lot about her he liked, and the more he knew her, the more things he found to like. He wasn't stupid, he knew that spider bite he'd received had given him an improved physique, but deep down, he was always going to be Peter Parker. Dork. Goober. And mostly hopeless around girls.
They were supposed to be doing homework, but it never took them long to finish. Gotham Heights was a good school, but Midtown had been good as well. And homework was never a problem to get done. Really, he wanted to just hang out with her some more. Before Aunt May decided to call and tell him that dinner was ready and he needed to head back to their apartment deep in town. Then he'd spend the night prowling the streets, looking for crimes to stop from happening and some good to do for the city.
