A tiny smirk flicked across Batman lips. "I'm taking you to one of my personal safe-houses and you're asking me to trust that SHIELD isn't going to try and bug you?" It would be paranoid if it wasn't also good logic, and something he might have done himself. "I'd rather be safe than sorry, Agent Hill. Whether I'm wrong or not, we both know it's a possibility."
And it was for that same reason, his smirk grew when she suggested he fix her badge. He would have been happy to - and could have even promised not to embed a listening device, or anything else in it, but it wouldn't matter; this was the world they lived in and the rules they played by. She'd just proven his point.
"One hour, five minutes - depending on how fast I drive, and how long you take buying whatever you need," he told her. Noting that she'd spotted the blindfold, he added, "You don't need to wear it until after we've stopped to pick up the recording equipment, but after that I'm going to have to insist."
