Re: Fury and Rhodey
The bald pate of Fury dipped in a low nod as James read off the exact stipulations surrounding his presence on the Helicarrier. It was just as Fury suspected. The folder was scooped up from the desk and he slid a finger under the seal. The wax crumbled away and Fury methodically removed its contents. The folder was left on the table as Nicholas began scanning them for himself. Everything Rhodes was saying checked out. Change was most likely coming.
"I respect the President's decision, even if I don't quite agree with it. That being said, you'll have the full access you need." The papers were ordered and placed back into the envelope. Fury would go over them in private later.
"I appreciate the appointment of a soldier and not a senator looking for cheap thrills. If you allow us to do our job then there won't be any problems going forward." Fury looked to Rhodes once more. "I'll see to it that you and your aides are provided with lodging and briefed on the layout of the ship." But the question remained, who to appoint? Clearly someone who was familiar with every inch of the Helicarrier. More importantly, someone who watched over the ship like a hawk. That meant only one person was suited for the job. And boy was she going to love this job.
"I'll inform Deputy Director Hill that she will be your liaison during your stay and investigation."
