"It certainly does..." Selina replied flexing her arms behind her head one last time. Grant's had always held a special place in her heart. Memories of hard days and even harder nights punctuated by some time to herself. Ted had taught her that she didn't owe anyone anything, that she had to take what she needed and build a,life around it. Selina might have taken that advice a little more literally than he intended, but he'd helped push her up and out of the East End filth she was accustomed to. She would always be grateful.
"And we aren't old." Selina's face creased into a smile. "Like I said...we're experienced." Turning around to look back to her corner and assess the space she had around her, Selina wondered how good Dinah really was. She'd never had to fight Black Canary before - but from what Selina could recall, she was skilled and her punches tended to strike where she wanted them to. Dinah had the power, the background in several more martial arts than Selina that could make a difference, but Selina made up for that with her reflexes and gymnastic ability. She just hoped it would be enough.
"Ready as I'll ever be." she replied, shaking her joints out. Closing her eyes for a second - Selina tried to anticipate Dinah's first move before placing her feet apart, her fists clenching open and closed.
