Selina was running late, and not even fashionably late. Late late. Her meeting at the board of health had run over, and as much as she'd wanted to walk out and leave the whole thing to Leslie, she had responsibilities. In the end it had all gone well, more funding secured, hands shaken and smiles given. Selina was grateful for anything she could get, and if being the face of a foundation meant being almost an hour late, so be it. Running around the block with her gym back thrown over her shoulder she looked at her watch as she pounded up the old steps into Grants. The place looked a little like an old public school, but the hand painted sign gave it away, the claw of a big cat swiping bloody marks across the bright blue lettering. Ted was nothing if not subtle.
Selina was already dressed for the occasion but headed straight to the locker room, tugging off her green jersey and grabbing the tape and gloves from her bag. After pushing the whole lot in a locker and hanging the key on a chain around her neck her pulled her long dark hair up into a high pony tail, taking one last look in the rust edged mirror. Closing her eyes for a second she focused herself, taking deep breaths and smelling the musty air that reminded her so much of so many years ago. A whole other life belonging to a completely different Selina Kyle.
"I see you got a good head start..." Selina quipped, finally strolling into the gym looking a little sheepish. Smiling, she picked up her pace a little, jogging across the mats and around the equipment towards the ring where Dinah stood with Ted. Nodding and grinning, giving him a small wave she turned to the blonde, looking up from the floor and pushing a few stray hairs out of her eyes.
"...the board meeting over ran, I couldn't escape. You forgive me? Right?"
