Roy Harper was on time.
He had told Jennie he'd be here at this time, and here he was, standing outside her apartment door and giving a brisk knock. He was proud of himself, because Roy was aware that his time management skills when it came to Jennie could often be described as "needing work". His job was weird though - it dind't always have regular office hours, sometimes he had to go out of the country on business, and well SHIELD just ate up a lot of his time. And the time that he didn't spend working for them, he tried to spend with Lian. Then there was time that he wanted to spend with his family and friends and - he knew he hadn't been carving out a lot of time for his girlfriend. It had been a problem that plagued them from the start, and since the water bottle fight, and then the 'just be nice' conversation, well Roy had been doing an even worse job then before of trying to fit girlfriend time into his life.
He had the things Jennie had asked him to gather up from his apartment, and a bottle of wine that the guy at the liquor store said was nice. Jennie liked wine, so he brought that as kind of another peace offering. She had been ... distant ... and Roy was going to try and be better. Close that gap. He could do this. It wouldn't be that hard. He hoped.
Honestly he understood relationships where hard, took work, but he had thought this would be easier. He and Jennie had always gotten along great as friends, the physical part was fine it was just - everything else. And he got that one way to make more time for Jennie would be to introduce her to Lian as his girlfriend but ... he just dind't feel right about that yet. He dind't know when he was going to feel right about that -
Right, that stuff could be worried about later. He shoved that to the back of his mind, and focused on the fact that he had made it here on time. Not two hours late. On time.
