The thought occurred to him daily. When they wanted to make out, Batgirl often had to promise that her father/mentor was off somewhere else. "I live in constant fear. Kidding. Partly. "Well, I go by Cypher, which, linguistically speaking, isn't terribly far from Pariah."
He nodded vigorously. Movies were a much easier topic. "Oh, they're real words. Same thing with Brando in Godfather..." The more he talked to him, the more that Doug couldn't shake the feeling that he was somehow familiar. Maybe it was his choice of words, or the way he moved (which, oddly, wasn't quite human... spider powers indeed!), but he felt like he'd crossed paths with Spider-Man somehow. Was he one of the students at Xavier's? Was he a mutant too? Some people didn't like admitting they were, due to the stigma, so Doug didn't ask.
