"Well, I think I could help with the grappling tool, but the spider-web powers, you're on your own there. And I wouldn't recommend self-experimentation, last thing we need is you growing two extra sets of arms," Peter joked, "And cramping my style...and more appropriately fitting my name than me...okay, definitely stay away from trying to get spider-powers."
It was sort of nice hearing that Doug didn't believe the papers. They never spoke of Spider-man before and while it never came to mind for Peter to question how his friends saw Spider-man, it was good to know. "No worries, dude, lots of heroes there and...shucks, that's swell of you to say." He feigned bashfulness.
"But I dunno, you were hanging around the Bat-clan like you were one of them," he said, "I should be saying it's honor to meet you."
