Re: Teddy and Tommy (and NPC Lian)
Tommy let out an exaggerated sigh. That was not the reaction he'd been looking for. Teddy apparently had a cast iron, bottomless stomach. Some people were no freaking fun.
"Man, you suck. You know that? I swear my mouth was on fire for like ten min--"
He stopped talking as a tiny little girl walked between the two of them, intently focused on the table of food.
"--utes."
Tommy exchanged a look with Teddy, looked over the crowd for a second, then dropped down to his haunches. He was pretty sure the little girl wasn't lost since no one was freaking out. Besides, kids could be pretty resourceful and single minded at times.
"Hey, you want a cupcake or something?"
The little girl shook her head and pointed at the tureen of death chili. "No. Chili," she beamed up at them then added a belated, "please."
