Who: Jennie-Lynn Hayden and Dick Grayson
NPCs: Jennie's invisible friends
When: Thursday, July 19, 2012 - evening
Where: Guys Jennie's bar - Warriors, NYC
What: Dick and Jen chat! And stuff happens!
Rating: Ish.
Oh man...! Jen was trying to take her lumps in stride, but instead of being cloistered off at Guy's bar, she'd rather be out in the fray, fighting the frost giants instead of stuck inside holding down the fort. And while she recognized that this was important, too, it wasn't what she wanted to be doing, not really. But she decided she was going to be gracious, Guy was helping her out - it was her duty, therefore, to look over the bar and keep it safe. She had seen what had happened in Gotham. How, all too quickly, it had resorted to bedlam. Jennie was not about to let Guy's bar get raided, or worse, get squashed by Frost Giants.
Outside the bar, constructs of Storm Troopers marched back and forth while twin terrordactyls circled overhead. It was after closing she sent everyone home and now was just finishing up. She figured the floors could use a good moping, since she seriously doubted that they had been cleaned, well, never, judging by the fine stick that was ever present with each footfall.
"Oh Pikachu. Why does no one want me to be their sidekick? LE SIGH," she said, while turning the chairs up on the tables so she could get on with the mopping. There was a construct there of a plump little pikachu perched on a nearby table keeping her company. He blinked twice and then gave Jen a reassuring nod.
"Pika pi! Pika-pika pika pi! Pi-pi! Chu, chu-chu, pi. Pi-pi-pika."
"Oh, I know," she said in reply. "I mean, I understand your point, but still. All this power and I'm relegating to, well, this..." Jennie gestured around the bar. "What do you think, Squirtle?"
"Squirtle-squirt?"
Jennie rolled her eyes. "How did I know you were going to say that?"
Fortunately she was by herself, save for a few constructs that she was "chatting" to. Otherwise was alone, bored, and was starting to go silly with all the snow everywhere.
