Barda couldn't sleep. A more apt description might be that she simply didn't sleep very much and so the fact that she was not sleeping this evening or far into the morning hours when the sky began to lighten. She was not accustomed to the changes in the sky like these, not such stark ones. On Apokolips, the sky shifted only with the changing firepits and industrial lightning. The open sky of black and the minor flickering lights - stars - was new to her. Everything was new to her and it left her discomfited and entirely ill at ease. It was little wonder she didn't rest in the room that had been provided to her or in the giant bed. This was too easy. Waiting for the morning to come and to complete her mission even as she knew that her prey wouldn't come easily or without a fight of some kind. Unfortunately, he wasn't the type to fight with physical means or anything she could deflect so easily. The escape artist was no doubt planning an escape; she simply have to be ready for it. Part of it was paranoia, as she was certain most of this was a form of trick, and part was the fact that all of this world was decidedly strange.
And she didn't know if that were a good or a bad thing.
That was the real problem. Barda didn't know what to think of Earth. Her only experience with New Genesis had been in conflict and this world was entirely new. In short, she could not sleep. So she had left the room knowing that there were undoubtedly eyes on her. And after determining that Scott Free had not escaped her nor was he planning anything nefarious at the moment, she slipped out into the greater Wayne Manor. When no one had attempted to stop her (because they were probably all much smarter than that), Barda had made her way onto the outside grounds. Still wearing little more than her battle bikini and boots - more than adequate if she ran into trouble - and looking no less formidable than she had when she arrived on their doorstep.
She circled the outer walk of the great house, taking her time and taking in the details of the construction, though she did not touch or hamper any part of the house in any way. When the sun started to rise, Barda paused. She had not gone far from the house but it was enough to give her an uninterrupted - and unbothered view of the splash of colors once again in the sky. And now, without the presence of the strange, quiet girl and her warrior father (more dangerous than they looked, both of them), she was able to fully appreciate it.
So much so that her mind ceased to spiral around her tangled thoughts and just watched.
