Chesh wasn't too sure what was happening with the world, but that part didn't matter much. It just gave her a lot of free time. When her last target died in a crash that was the result of a sudden giant appearance in the middle of the road, she got skimped on payment. But that's what happens when you don't get to complete your task, so she didn't make too much of a fuss over it. Instead, she decided to go shopping. Shopping was always a nice and calming thing, especially when it was shopping for little clothes.
She had the small red coat had been folded and wrapped up in a lovely gift box. She left it where Lian could see it when she woke up. Some part of her just wanted to wake her up and see her smile and hold her close. It would be a beautiful comfort, but the girl looked peaceful and quiet sleeping the way she did.
Sliding off the edge of her bed, she went to the door and stepped out into the hallway closing it quietly behind her. She thought about stopping in the other room to check on Roy, but thought against it. It was always a toss-up as to how he would react to her being there. She wasn't sure if she felt like dealing with it. Sneaking out quietly usually meant she didn't have to deal with anything, including his annoying family.
There was a tick there where she though she'd just go back in and wait for the sun to filter in before leaving, but she thought the better of it and turned toward the front door.
