Scott smiled as he watched Barda moving towards the window with the same awe-struck curiosity he had felt when he had first leaned of "sunsets"... and sunrises for that matter. It meant something, to see Barda reach for the windowpane as if trying to touch the last, fleeting embers of light fading from the horizon. He started to move towards her to tell her more about the sunset, about Earth, about him, to try to make hismelf understood by her.
And it was then that someone else announced their presence. Scott stepped back, looked over and blinked at the entire exchange between the teenager and Barda. He didn't think that he had been gone long enough for Bruce to have a daughter this age... but then again-- he wasn't entirely clear on the whole human conception/birth/life/death cycle (like 98% clear) or how time flowed between the two extremely different planets of Earth and Apokolips.
Thankfully, the master of the house and good friend of Scott Free entered the room. He flashed Bruce a broad grin and clasped his hand in greeting. "Bruce! It's good to be here again. This is Barda... Big Barda." He said by way of introductions, gesturing to his companion jailer, "I'm afraid I need to call in some favors. " Scott wasn't sure that Bruce actually owed him any favors, but he'd seen enough movies and TV shows to know that that phrase summed up the sentiment of what he needed to say. He needed help.
