Cassandra wasn't surprised by the woman's defensive posture. She understood it completely; it was the reason she'd come out of hiding. "I'm Cassandra," she introduced herself. "Bruce's daughter."
She kept her posture calm and welcoming, even as she studied the woman's posture and prepared to defend herself if necessary. She was ready to kick her slipper off into the woman's face as a distraction, then strike at her knees. But as long as the woman didn't start a fight, there wouldn't be one.
