"No." He said firmly. He wouldn't put Barda at risk just to escape. If she did manage to capture him- even if she managed to get him back to Apokolips, Scott was certain that he could escape. He didn't need to and refused to endanger anyone, least of all Barda, just to affect an escape.
But he wasn't certain that Barda would believe that. So he didn't bother arguing the point any further.
He took his aero-disc back and got on it, watching the giant moving towards them. He'd only just now seemed to notice them, at which point he gave a guttural roar and raised his glaive, taking long, quick strides towards them.
When she asked what the monster was, Scott glanced up at it. "Angry." He answered, lifting off the ground. He looked over at her when she said she would find him and didn't argue but gave her a curt nod to show he understood before taking to the air towards the giant.
