She had no idea what Pennsylvania was. Or what he was talking about. But the green beneath the snow was another novelty. But a strange one. Barda was very distracted from her original goal - and that was blamed solely on Scott for his words and for bringing her here in the middle of nowhere. "This is a very strange world."
Scott's unease put Barda on guard, though she was largely watching him. He would not be leaving this encounter so easily, especially not when he started to edge out of it. Her arms crossed firmly and she immediately lost the earlier expression of interest at her surroundings. "We have nothing to talk about. We are returning to Apokolips."
And he would face his punishment for his second escape. Which he deserved. Or do the voice of Granny's teaching reminded her. How this was her mission. To serve.
She expected another trick but she sensed more than saw the movement from behind her. The creature was strange to her but not completely foreign, just because many of her own planet's inhabitants were so strange. It certainly made her hackles rise, though. "A trap, Scott Free?" Her eyes narrowed And she tightened her grip on her weapon, stance shifting to a more ready position.
