Re: Jade & Obsidian
There were a lot of things Todd would gladly leave to the plethora of other heroes to deal with. Heck, if he saw more brightly colored spandex amongst the snow he might have done just that, there weren't. None in his line of sight anyway. So he was going to check it out. That didn't automatically mean he was going to go into battle or anything (not like he would be much help anyway). He was just going to, as he said, check it out.
"I'll come to you," he told Jennie. He didn't want his sister flying about alone with a bunch of giants around. Honestly, he'd rather his sister didn't get involved at all, but he knew that was too much to ask.
Hanging up the phone, Todd changed into his shadow-form and phased through the wall of the locker room. He then proceeded to make his way to his apartment, floating around the buildings. Along the way he saw a handful of the giants his co-workers had spoken about, noting they seemed to be migrating away from the city rather than outright destroying it (though they were doing that too). He also noticed a few heroes finally starting to do something about it.
Eventually, he reached the apartment he shared with his sister and her friend Kyle, phasing through the wall. "Definitely giants," he said as a way of greeting. "Looks like there are a few people already working on dealing with them." This was his not-so-veiled attempt to say they didn't need to be out there.
