Re: Gotham City - Cass & Selina, OT Gothamites
The chill hit Selina suddenly as she stepped through the revolving doors, taking her breath away and forcing her to stop dead in her tracks. There was snow, actual snow fluttering down from thick white and grey clouds that hung in the sky above them. Looking up curiously, Selina pulled the sunglasses from her forehead and held them in her hands between her bags, turning to look at Cass carefully. Feeling suddenly severely undressed, Selina wrapped her arms around herself, her bare skin prickling against the cold.
"Well this is a little unexpected." Selina spoke, turning away from Cass and looking out across the street. It hadn't gone crazy, not yet at least. People just seemed to be puzzled, staring at the sky as she had done. But knowing Gotham like she did, it wouldn't last long. They'd only been outside a few minutes but the snow was already beginning to fall thick and fast.
"And July too, I think we might be setting a new rec--"
The rumble under her feet made her stop speaking suddenly, Selina's fingers flexing over the handles of the shopping bags she held. Just as she was about to suggest they call Alfred and get the hell out of the city before chaos set in, the ground below moved again. Something was getting closer and of in the near distance Selina heard a low growl, the windows in nearby buildings shaking and glass falling all around. Dropping her bags Selina moved backwards quickly, grabbing Cass by the arm and dragging her under the canopy of the department store behind them. Shards of broken glass reigned down on the pavement sending people running for cover.
Rolling her eyes Selina nudged the girl with an elbow.
