Who: Mister Miracle, Superman
What: Scott gets in touch with Superman to vouch for him with SWORD.
Where: A field outside of Smallville, Kansas
When: Tuesday, July 3rd
Rating: PG
It had not been difficult to get off of the ship that SWORD had orbiting Earth. After they had brought him back to the ship, he'd had medical attention for the four puncture wounds in his back, rest and something to eat without anyone so much as looking at him suspiciously. They did have him hooked up to some monitors, apparently to make sure he could actually survive in Earth's atmosphere which Scott found ironic since 1) they'd found him on Earth and 2) they weren't currently inside of the Earth's atmosphere, but these points lay neither here nor there. And while Scott appreciated the hospitality and concern, he had places he needed to be and someone he needed to talk to.
When he needed to be, Scott could be subtle. Boom Tubes, however, were not subtle in the least. So when he boomed off of the ship down to the Earth's surface, Scott was sure that the crew of the ship would know something had happened... but he planned to return before they could miss him for too long. After all, it was impolite to leave without saying goodbye-- particularly when you didn't know if you were under arrest or not.
He had no trouble making it to Kansas this time-- not after a few hours sleep and a bologna sandwich-- and stepped easily out of the Boom Tube into a corn field outside of Smallville. He had left his cape back on Apokolips and his costume was torn in several places, not to mention the finger sized holes in the lower back which gave hints of the bandage he wore beneath. He had put his mask on though, more to preserve his friend's identity than his own.
"ping. ping. ping." Mother Box chimed, whisper-like.
"Hush you. I am not responsible for crop circles." He chided her, shaking his head lightly. Scott looked up at the dark blue, speckled night sky for a moment. "Kal-El?" He asked in a conversational voice. There was no need to shout, after all.
