Bart's frown deepened and he tried not to scuff his toe against the ground. Linda said there were crazy people here and didn't know how it was in the future-- she was right. She had no idea; and what was worse was that Bart couldn't tell her. He was only protected from paradoxes for a certain extent-- after that, time and space could very well start collapsing. But he couldn't explain any of that to her.
"I just forgot. I'm sorry." He explained, looking away. Worse than being angry with him, Bart hated feeling that he'd disappointed someone... and unfortunately for Bart, every second spent in an argument, or lecture, or with a disappointed look ran on for hours and hours in his accelerated mind. It felt like Linda had already been upset with him for half a day at this point...
