"It'll be worth it," a girls voice said, to his side. She was reading something on her smart phone, and looking outside across the street as if waiting for something or someone, or had some other reason to be preoccupied with it. The signs made it look like an art gallery was expecting some kind of open house event. "This place makes some of the best sandwiches this side of New York City."
She turned to look at him, and quickly blanked her phone screen. The girl wore shades that hid her eyes, and had hair as white as his, and she lowered her glasses to look at him, and the top of his head, smiling. "Nice hair. Always been like that?"
Felicia's eyes sparkled with life. Though she doubted if his story was as strange as hers. Still, Gotham was a city full of strange things.
