Selina nodded at his words about Hill. Selina liked her because of her attitude more than anything, she seemed no nonsense. The only thing that concerned her was her feelings about Gotham. Hopefully they would change over time, but Selina didn't hold out much hope. The city had a habit of making off comers hate it pretty quickly. “Well, we can hope can't we,” Selina remarked. “I certainly think she's worth getting to know better. If only to have someone we know on the inside.”
Someone we know. The word slipped from her mouth more easily than she'd expected. Really she'd meant to say you, or I even. But Bruce seemed to have the ability to make her walls and apparently her phrasing break down more easily than she'd originally thought.
Looking around his bathroom again she was almost in awe. Selina was used to coming home at ungodly hours only to be welcomed by her cats and more often than not a cold shower. When she'd lived in her Apartment in Gotham central things had been better, but since her move back to the east end she found herself almost slumming it again. She told herself it was an effort to save the money she had, try and get back to her roots. But really it was an exercise in grounding herself. Most of her money was wrapped up in stocks and shares, funnily enough in both Stark Industries clean energy program and Wayne Enterprises various telecommunications endeavours – that was before she'd even considered Bruce or Tony to really be in her life. Unlike them she had to be frugal, her main income had always been through various sales of stolen items and pay off from wealthy clients. Her time in Saudi had seen her do well, but the money would run out eventually, it always did. She just had to figure out what she would do when it did...
The mention of Kal snapped her out of wondering. Kal, it was more human, she liked it – it immediately made her think better of Superman, even though she had no reason to dislike him in the first place.
“Kal...” she spoke the name softly, testing it out. “I like it. It makes him seem well – it makes him seem more human.” Selina didn't intend to make it sound as if she thought of superman as some kind of alien menace, in her eyes he was more human than many actual humans. “I mean – more...well. You know what I mean.”
As Bruce wrapped his arms around her, his kiss making her light headed again as he backed them towards the shower – Selina smiled, closing her eyes for a second before feeling the steam and hot water hit her skin. It felt revitalising and she let out a small gasp of pleasure as it washed over her, the water running between their bodies. Selina looked up, raising her hands to push her hair back and over her shoulders and away from her face as she glanced up at him.
“Voice controls? I prefer something a little more tangible – don't you?”
