"Oh, I am." Bruce rolled over on his back, looking amused as he laced his fingers behind his head. "After all, I've slept with more than half of Gotham - just ask them. I wasn't there for the most part, but they'll be happy to tell you all about it."
His wilder days were far behind him, and he'd perfected a system of seeming to leave parties with women, and then losing them in credible ways before things got very far. He hadn't really been surprised by the contingent of women trying to sleep with him - that was something he'd grown accustomed to in his earliest days of partying with Tony - but there had also arisen a strange collection of women claiming to have already slept with him. It was something Bruce didn't quite understand, but had certainly not minded utilizing for his own interests.
But it was difficult for Bruce to categorize his relationships sometimes, given the complications of his life. There were women he dated purely for show; women he dated with sincere interest, but which never went anywhere; women he'd loved intensely, but had never dated - some of which he could never be with. There were the women he'd loved who knew him only as Bruce Wayne, a few who knew him only as Batman, and a handful who knew both. He'd been engaged twice, in love more than once, broken hearts, and had his own heart broken.
There were several things that made Selina different. He'd loved her even when he shouldn't have, and then waited for her a long time instead of simply pushing her away. He had never been able to push her away, the way he had so many others, in either of his personas. He'd kept her close, but never completely given in, either, knowing the time wasn't right. He'd just... waited. Bruce was patient, but when it came to women, he either convinced himself they were a distraction, or he gave in immediately.
Most importantly, Selina was here. He'd let her in, and after everything that had happened in the last few weeks, he wouldn't have been surprised if she had gone running. She knew both of his faces well enough and long enough to trust him, and her support meant everything.
"I'm not completely sure," he said, regarding SHIELD. "There's one at least... She's a soldier, but I get the impression she's nobody's fool. If they give her an order she feels is against the code she upholds, she's going to do as she sees fit. Whether she's alone on that or not is a different story." He looked at Selina. "The one you met - Hill. I don't think she's going to let anyone push her around - President or not. She'll deal with the consequences later, but if he's telling her to do something shady?" Bruce shook his head.
"There are a lot of concerns I have about Luthor," he said. "But I admit, one of them is rather more personal." His face turned grim and he turned his head sideways to see her face. "His vendetta against Superman. If he has access to the entire nation and potential international cooperation if his lies are good enough? He's the only other person on the planet that I'm aware of, who has access to the one thing that can kill Superman. And I'm not about to let him do it - no matter what it takes."
With a smile, he got up to follow her. "It is rather complicated... all those buttons and programs instead of knobs..."
