“He'll be better here. Safer.” She added as he pulled her closer to him, Selina's head tucked in against his arms as she felt him breathe in above her. She'd come to learn that for all Bruce could seem distant when he wanted too, he craved contact. Maybe not consciously all the time, but more than she would expect from him. As they'd become comfortable with each other in their week away, Selina in turn had found that she liked to be held and that touching him, wrapping herself up in his arms, made her feel safer than she'd ever felt before.
“Well, you do have a really comfortable bed...” she grinned, nuzzling him.
If she was honest with herself the thought of Bruce's kids scared the hell out of her. It was different when they were alone in moments like this, but the idea of them hating her, not being able to trust her. She knew that he had baggage, more than baggage really. Bruce literally had a full house full of possible hurdles for her to jump each other seeming bigger than the last. Selina sighed against him for a moment, content that what he did know seemed positive. But those were Bruce's children, the one's he'd adopted, his friends.
“Remind me to send Tony something for spurring you on. I'm beginning to think I owe that guy.” Selina spoke, teasing Bruce and looking up as he moved to kiss her again.
“What about Robin, your Robin? The...other Batgirl” she asked tentatively, hoping that he simply hadn't mentioned them because of some other reasoning. The other Batgirl, the red haired one had always been somewhat of a mystery to her, and was still the only one of Bruce's birds who had ever managed to get the drop on her “ – and The Avengers. I mean – I know they're a team, but they're SHIELD...” Selina knew that Bruce would never reveal himself to them if he could help it, but the thought of being on their radar more than she already was made her heckles rise.
