Teenagers...
Zinda actually didn't have much experience with the concept of "teenager" as it was today. After all, when she'd been 15 in was 1935, but she'd discovered a few things while stalking Doug Ramsey the past two days.
One. The things most of them found important made her want to hit her head into her steering wheel until she had a concussion. Two. Their spending money was one of the main reasons why music turned horrible in the last 70 years. Three. Despite her misgivings not all of them were completely irresponsible hormone buckets of spontaneity and random. Some were routine creatures.
For the past two days Doug had come here in the morning to swim, and given that two days of stalking she thought that this would be the best time to get him. She couldn't do it where his parents or neighbors might see or his schoolmates. Luckily enough, it was early and the people that were out were sleep addled, trying to drink coffee and walk at the same time, and, most importantly, few and far between.
She let him get into the building and waited a few moments before parking in front of the building in a handicap spot and putting a forged tag on her mirror. She grabbed her tranq gun, which sure as hell looked big, powerful, and like the real thing, flipped the safety on, put it in the back of her jeans, and put her black jacket on to conceal it.
Once she got into the pool area, Doug was already in the pool. She waited a moment and when he finally came up for air, she stepped out of the shadows. "Douglas Ramsey?"
Score one point for Zinda for being ominous. Hell, if Skip wanted to scare him straight, she could do her part.
She then pulled the firearm up and aimed straight at him. "I'm afraid you're gonna have to come with me." She'd once had a Nazi cry at the sight of her pointing a gun at him. She figured a teenager wouldn't be much trouble. However, in their line of work you never knew and she was fully prepared to shoot him full stop if necessary.
