Hal was no stranger to late nights at work, but he was unused to fulfilling them behind a desk. A number of packets had come to his desk today, all focused on the planes they had or would have and what test needed to be run before they were air born. It was not hard work, just time consuming. He had to read and re-read what was expected of him, all while deciding just which pilots would find their way into which cockpit.
It was late into the night when he finally pulled himself from his desk. He grabbed the light gray jacket to his suit, checked for his wallet and his keys, and headed out into the hall. Gladys had turned off all the nights before she left, leaving the pale glow of the emergency lighting to set his path. He passed by the office's of the others and slowed to a stop when he realized that there was a glow from beneath Carol's. Taking two steps back, he rapped on the door. "Wake up call, Danvers!"
