Guy's own ring was given to him so he could serve as a back-up to Hal. The ring had been something of a curse to him, but he refused to part with it. Each had their own story about things, but had Guy heard it, he wouldn't have said anything to Kyle about it either. As far as he was concerned, Kyle deserved that damn ring a lot more than other GL's did.
"I did say that," Guy smirked at Jen and pointed the tip of his bottle at her, "Because it's fact." He was oblivious to Kyle's wincing, having been content in hearing that there was pizza. The remote came toward him and Guy caught it, quickly turning on the television set and began channel surfing.
He didn't think about paying for the pizza. Guy had brought the drinks after all, so he felt like he'd done his part to contribute. "Did I bring your whiskey? What sort of question is that?" he rolled his eyes and picked up a bottle of Jack Daniels from the brown paper bag he'd carried in with him, "Here you go, college grad." He didn't toss the bottle but placed it on the nearest flat surface.
"Hey, whatever happened with that Kree guy?" he directed his question at Kyle, who had told him he was handling it, "You put the fucker in his place?"
