Doug nodded a hello to the girl in eggplant and black. "The Purple Caper," he said, using the term the papers had coined for her. What he didn't add was that she'd been there when the Cluemaster had died... with Robin. Doug could not forget the images on the video that night. He clenched his hands into fists, and then opened them, to clear his mind.
He turned to Batgirl, a smile letting her know he was happy to see her. It was the same thing he did every time she visited him on the roof, but it was always the case. [Okay. Interesting change.]
"I guess we could start with the basics," he said, reading in her body language that she didn't wish to speak. Her body language said she'd been surprised, even more so than he had, at Batgirl bringing the three of them together on the same roof. Surprise, maybe anger, definitely a lot of hesitation. Was it because he didn't have a costume? Either way, her stance indicated a desire to not share anything. He understood. That was how it was with everyone in Gotham he'd run into. So Doug took up a ready stance, "ready when you are."
