Wanda was running late. Not by too much, fifteen minutes at most, but it was enough to make her frustrated. It was all the fault of a cranky mother-to-be at Motherhood Maternity who just had to argue with the cashier about prices. She let out an angry grumble as she thought about it, hurrying down the sidewalk with her purse over one shoulder and a bag from the store in her hand.
She slowed down as she got close to the cafe, eventually coming to a stop a couple stores before it. Wanda leaned up against one of the buildings, taking a moment to catch her breath. She needed to look presentable for Teddy - whoever he was - she was supposed to be meeting. After allowing herself a minute to recoup, she directed her attention to the cafe's store front, scanning it for a blond teenager.
There wasn't a blond in sight that matched the description he had given her, but there was Billy. Why would Billy be here? She looked at the boy with a critical gaze as she slowly approached, uncertain he was the young man he appeared to be. A stern expression greeted the boy when she finally reach him.
"You're not Billy. Who are you?" she asked, her tone sharp.
