Thread: Mia and Oliver WHO: Mia Dearden and Oliver Queen WHAT: Mia found a few purple arrows in the city and shows them to Oliver. WHEN: June 18th WHERE: First around the city and then Queen brownstone.
The truth of the matter was that sometimes you couldn’t find every arrow you shot. Mia always tried her hardest though, mostly because Ollie like to make her make some, and that was so fucking tedious she wanted to put her head through a wall. So when she had last three arrows in the same place, Mia was determined to return to the scene of the crime and find the damn things.
So she got up early, ate breakfast, tossed her large messenger bag over her shoulder and headed out. She checked the area, went to the place she shot from the night before, pulled out a pair of binoculars and looked carefully. Red and yellow arrows tended to stand out against the brick of the buildings.
Scanning the area carefully in the direction she’d shot, she frowned in confusion when she saw it. She used the focus wheel and then put the binoculars away. She climbed down the building, crossed the street and into the alley across the street. She looked around before pulling herself up on the closed dumpster. She climbed up a few floors looked to the left and plain as day there it was.
An arrow.
A purple one.
She slipped the bag off of her shoulder and pulled herself on top of the cage wall of the fire escape. Holding her balance on the platform above her she peaked in the window right beside the fire escape. It didn’t look like anyone was home, and thankfully she’d definitely be able to keep her footing on that ledge. She stepped off, shimmied down the ledge a bit, held onto the window sill and pulled. The tip was stuck into a crack in the brick but the shaft popped off easily.
Good enough. She stuck it between her teeth shimmied back to the fire escape and stuck it into her bag.
Alright. She had planned to just make a quick scan of the area in daylight, but it now looked like her day was going to be spent arrow hunting.
There were just so many good vantage spots for archers in this city... it would be impossible to look everywhere, but she’d give this area one hell of a looking over.
It was well after lunch by the time Mia got home. She was sweaty and gross from being outside in the sun all day climbing buildings and fire escapes, and she didn’t feel near as accomplished as she could have. After all she’d only found five of the things, and only three of them had been in a remotely reachable spot.
She supposed she could have kept at it, but really she was completely famished. So she headed back to the brownstone. She entered into the kitchen, and she opened the fridge looking at what was leftover in there. “Ollie!” She called out, she didn’t get an answer. She grabbed a leftover slice of pizza and a water and headed downstairs to check their training area. She sat down on the steps to let him finish before speaking up.
“So,” she started around a mouth full of pizza. She stopped and swallowed. “So,” she began again, setting her slice on her thigh as she reached into her bag. "Do we know who shoots purple arrows?” She pulled them out to show him, only one of them was intact. One was broken, and another had obviously been a trick arrow whose trick had been deployed.
