"Thank you." Pepper tucked a strand of hair behind one ear. "Nobody knows about that. Well," she smiled a little. "Very few do." There was only one person who knew most of her past, and she wasn't entirely sure how all of that had come out, but she was fairly certain a lot of it had happened in trade in the three years since Afghanistan.
"Do you even like musicals?" She asked uncertainly. "Because I like movies, too. We don't have to do anything special."
Pepper felt bad when Phil pulled away, knowing he was blaming himself but not knowing how to explain her emotions. "It has," she grinned, taking his hand back. Glancing at her watch, she reluctantly nodded. "Yes... I'll have to start a little earlier tomorrow to make up some work." 'And deal with another problem that was sure to be waiting,' she thought grimly.
