"Only in the recent nights," Maria said dryly. She shrugged as she shifted her weight. "Yeah, well, you've seen one war zone, you've seen them all." But she was not going to hang out on rooftops talking about her experience in them with some strange vigilante.
Though, the darkness gave a nice sense of anonymity, as if she could smoke and drink and talk about dark things with someone who didn't know her face. Well, wouldn't know her face, if she was wearing a mask. And that would be why vilgilantes did; if they were both masked, they could talk about anything up here, and it wouldn't matter because neither would know the other if they passed on the street tomorrow.
"Duly noted," she said dryly. And it was; she'd make a nice note of it and everything.
She managed to keep from wincing, both at the scratching at the metal and the question. The red eyes - lenses? she needed night vision goggles instead of the binocs - were eerie, but she more wanted the tech than felt off balance. "Couldn't say," she said. "Haven't been up there since I got shuttled down here." That was both the nice part and the hard part of a base that flew; they were fairly safe from infiltration, but it was a pain in the ass to get back up to it once left.
