Patience was a relative thing. It wasn't that he wasn't capable of it but Tommy usually exhausted his patience much quicker than everyone else. Far too often it seemed as if the world was stuck on Slo-Mo. His attention span wasn't much better and between the two of things it generally spelled restlessness or epic boredom depending on the situation. The current situation was a lot of both, but this was obviously important to Kate (even though she'd pulled a bait and switch on him.)
"You know, the usual." He gave a little shrug. "Chill. Hang. Whatever I feel like doing really."
The guy in front of him was currently on a diatribe about how green string beans were part of a secret government conspiracy designed to horde money by underfeeding the world's population. He finally finished off his rant by warning the teens away from the evil government produce and asking nicely for an extra serving of pudding.
Tommy obliged, adding another spoonful of the chocolate dessert to the guy's tray. "Knock yourself out, man." He turned his attention back to Kate. "So what do you do with your free time? When you're not doing this stuff?" he added quickly.
