Who: Apollo, Midnighter, Bobbi. Where: The Jersey Shore. When: June 15, 2012 What: The boys have a day and meet a girl. Rating: PG-13.
It had been some time since Apollo and Midnighter had been given leave at the same time. Something about learning how to integrate into society better on their down time and to help "gain people skills" with people other than each other. Translation: Midnighter was way too grumpy and needed to learn how to make friends with people. It would be amusing if it wasn't so annoying. At least they had their nights together, though. God help them if they tried to squash that particular luxury in their less-than-pampered lives. Then they really would see just how grumpy Midnighter could get.
The moment they stepped through the door and into the sunlight, Apollo felt at home. Power and nourishment coursed through his veins and he felt alive. The only other time he felt that way was when he was with Midnighter. With a towl slung over his shoulder and a cooler with beer, soda, stuff for sandwiches, and some sun tan lotion. A few hours later and the blanket was laid out, the cooler firmly placed, and Apollo was rising from the see like some kind of sea God gracing mortals with his pectorals and biceps.
Running his fingers through his hair to slick it back, Apollo ventured back to their little spot on the shore and eclipsed the sun his better half bathed in. "You should really come out with me," he said as he flicked whatever remaining sea water was on his fingertips toward Midnighter. "Isn't that the point of the beach?" He knelt down beside him, crawled toward Midnighter until he was hovering over him with a broad smile. "What if I met some attractive hunk of a man and he tried to have his way with me?"
