Thanks. Now I'm hungry.
The extent of the meal they were about to partake in was lost on her until the counters were covered and every dish she owned seemed to be in use. She was a dutiful helper, following his simple instructions and completing whatever task he set before her, all while enjoying a couple of glasses of wine.
By the time the meal was ready, Greer had managed to sneak a taste of everything more than once. Most of the time she got away with it, but when caught, she simply offer a cat that ate the canary grin. She was starved for the meal as a whole and did not shy away from taking a large portion for dinner. "I'm not sure we made enough," she teased, taking her full plate and her glass of the pink concoction he had made to the dinner table. It was an impressive sight having a full kitchen, complete with a handsome, apron-clad man. "Thank you, Bruce. I wasn't expecting an adventure tonight."
Once he had seated, she dove into her meal, complimenting the various bits in stride. Though it was all exceptional, the lamb was easily her favorite. Each break between bites was filled with pleasant conversation, each keen to keep the topics light and friendly. "So what will it take to convince you to do this again for me?"
