With the exchange finished, Hal moved back to the rail of the balcony and leaned back, watching her with a smile. He only ever gave the girl a hard time because she could take it and deliver a few good punches of her own. It was his way of keeping the fire in her alight. If she ever lost that, he would have no one to blame but himself.
