"Trust me, I don't want to know anything. It will just happen." That was a lie. Hal wanted to know a lot about her relationship with Roy. He wanted to know where they were and what they did and when he could stumble upon them without realizing they were both pants-less. He shook his head at that idea, trying to flush those horrifying images out of his head.
"Right, right, you're smarter than the rest of the world. Forgive, princess," he drawled.
"Sounds easy enough. I still think you should upgrade to hero," he confessed with a grin. "You managed to get away from the Kree fellow alright. Means you're doing something right." Clapping his hands together, he pointed to the door, "I'm getting shots. Wait right here."
The only reason Hal had finished his drink so quickly was to prove to Jen that he had not forgotten her graduation. Hal had, in fact, purchased a few thoughtfulcheesy gifts for the occasion and wanted to show them off. When he returned, he had a gift bag in his hand and two shot glasses that looked like camera lens'. "Here," he handed her one of the shots of whiskey. "This is for graduating," he toasted her and finished the shot quickly. "And this," he continued, pushing the bag into her hand, "Is because I like you." The bag contained the packaging the shot glasses had come in, including two extras, and a small, cardboard box with a variety of rare 35mm films.
