"Hey, all I'm saying is don't get my hopes up with your pie crust promises—easily made, easily broken—if you have no intention of following through." Jen just smirked at him and followed him out onto the balcony. She moved with him out to the railing to look over the edge and murmured a noise of approval at the city below. Jen soon backed off and stepped off the ground to defy gravity in a gentle float, Indian-style. It was alright that there were no chairs, they weren't necessary, but he should really think about getting something.
Jen scoffed at what Hal said next. "Jeeze, you don't mess around. No 'hi, how are ya. Heard you graduated college.'" She gave Hal a sideways glance.
"But besides none of your business? He's fine." She just rolled her eyes and shook her head. "Nooo, Hal, you don't have to heart him," came the half sing-songy reply as she shook her head yet again and smirked this time. "Things are fine really. Other than the fact we don't see each other nearly as often as I would like. Its hard because of his daughter," she shared. "But we're just taking it nice and easy..."
She took a quick sip of her drink after that. She didn't think it worth mentioning that the only times that they could have sex were at Roy's apartment, when Lian was staying at Ollie's or Di's because her apartment was off limits because Kyle Rayner had asked her out and that was awkward.
