Days like these, I'm really glad I made the job switch and opened a rec center. These kids teach me a lot. Did any of you know about Google's Word of the Day? I didn't. One of the kids, Jerome, his sister loves words. She knows he loves superheroes, so she told him about the sentence Google used for today's word. He showed it to me on one of the computers:
calque (noun) An expression introduced into one language by translating it from another language. Synonyms: loan translation Usage: "Superman" is a calque for the German "Ubermensch."
Isn't that great? I learned something new today. Then he showed me something else on the internet. http://www.batmanlive.com/tour/venues/ They've turned the "urban legend" of Batman into a musical. Song and dance! That, my friends, is why I love kids.

[Most of this e-mail is this very adorable picture, attached. It also got forwarded to Roy, but without the message that follows.]
I'm sorry I was such an ass the other night. And that it took five days. And it's an e-mail. Sometimes you make me a coward.
