Pepper widened her eyes, her mouth forming a surprised 'o'. "I had no idea you could be so selfish, Mr. Stark," she said in mock scandalization, fighting a smirk. Succumbing at last, she said, "Well, it's a good thing I'm only having one piece - the rest is all yours, boss."
Grinning at what could easily be called Tony's personal motto, Pepper tucked her legs beside her and set her plate carefully to one side as she pulled out two presents. "Some people save the best for last, you know," she teased as she handed them over.
The first one was in a box that was only five inches by three by three, but it weighed at least five pounds. Inside was a perfectly rendered replica of the Iron Man armor in Swarovski crystal with alternating wedges of brilliant blue topaz and the paler aquamarine to represent the arc reactor centered on his chest.
Pepper felt unexpectedly nervous, drying her nearest hand on her skirt. "It's the only one like it - I had it commissioned. They wanted to use a diamond for the reactor, but... I have a thing about diamonds, so we came up with this instead. It's not as flashy, but I think it's a better representa-" she really needed not to babble now.
The other gift was also smallish, and lighter, but contained a pocket watch. But it was a very special pocket watch called a Cobalt. "It's got a touch screen," Pepper explained, scooting next to him to demonstrate, flicking left, right, up and down with her thumb. "The default screen shows time, date, temperature, and updates on voicemail, email and text. "It's completely customizable, and integrates with bluetooth technology. It also has voice recognition software and there's even a hidden spot on the back for your keys."
